About Gerry
CARESPACE Health+Wellness president and founder Gerry Barg did not get into healthcare the way most people do. His business experience spans from his start as a car dealer, to running Canada’s third largest rehabilitation and healthcare company operating in five provinces from 108 clinics with more than 1,600 employees.
He is an expert in performance management and organizational health. Through his consulting firm Mensura Research, he has successfully worked with client companies in a range of diverse industries including automotive, healthcare, retail, construction, event management, engineering, marketing, and manufacturing.
Gerry earned a Bachelor of Theology from the Canadian Mennonite University, a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of Waterloo and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor.
Prior to starting CARESPACE Health+Wellness Gerry founded 10 diverse businesses, including three of which have appeared on PROFIT Magazine’s annual list of the top 200 fastest growing companies in Canada. He launched Barg Automotive after graduating from university, growing it at an average annual rate of 38% for 17 consecutive years, from a one-person operation to where he employed over 200 people operating from 11 locations in six cities in southern Ontario. His group of companies included leasing, third-party warranty, new car dealerships, a used car chain and Carsumer.com, which is recognized as Canada’s first e-dealer.
In addition to his passion for business, Gerry also enjoys economics, sociology, philosophy, auto racing, motorcycles, advertising, travel, life-long learning, flying helicopters, giving back, health, and fitness.
